The Marston Exploration Theater is located on the ASU Tempe campus, in the Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Building IV. The theater employs Definiti SkySkan Planetarium technology utilizing 4K projection systems that render Earth and Space Science themes in 3-D stereographic vision.

The Marston Exploration Theater will feature shows of topical interest. Presentations include:

  1. To the Edge of the Universe and Everything in Between, a live, narrated journey from earth to the cosmic background radiation. Stops along the way include current, topical space science news explorations. (~60mins)
  2. The Search: Exploring Unknown Worlds explores discoveries and current research of exoplanets (worlds beyond our Solar System). This presentation is a live 3-D exploration of known exoplanets in our neighborhood in space.  (~60mins)
  3. Gathering Light: 25 years of discovery from the Hubble Space Telescope, a live, narrated journey into some of the most some of the most mysterious and beautiful deep space images delivered by the Hubble Space Telescope  (~60mins)
  4. The Secret Life of Stars explores the birth, life, and death of stars answering questions about where stars come from, how they form, and what happens when they die, featuring spectacular simulated images of supernova explosions (~60mins)


  • Each Wednesday evening @ 7:30 p.m.
  • Each Saturday afternoon @ 2:30 p.m.


  • Adults/general admission is $7.50
  • Student admission is $5.50

Location and parking
