Lindy Elkins-Tanton: Exploration is a human imperative

Lindy Elkins-Tanton is a planetary scientist and director of ASU's School of Earth and Space Exploration. She’s also one of the few people in the world who has an asteroid named after her (Google Asteroid 8252 Elkins-Tanton).

In this KEDtalk, Elkins-Tanton describes the Psyche Mission, a Journey to a Metal World. Learn more about this exciting mission proposal and answers to questions like: Why should we explore space? What does science need to make real progress? And can scientists be creative people?
