Outstanding spring grads
Meet a few of our featured graduates who have started their journey and have quite a future ahead of them. Read their stories and additional profiles of notable spring 2023 graduates.
Claire Blaske
Congratulations to School of Earth and Space Exploration's Fall 2023 Dean's Medalist, Claire Blaske. This outstanding student is a native of Grand Ledge, Michigan, and maintained a 4.0 GPA all while conducting research at ASU and the California Institute of Technology. She also earned a bronze medal at the 2022 USA Curling Club Competition and founded the Sun Devil Curling Club at ASU.
Aditya Khuller
Aditya Khuller is a PhD graduate from ASU in planetary science and geology. He has a passion for science and space, and has accepted a postdoctoral research position at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Read more
Amber Simon
Amber Simon, a transfer student at Arizona State University's School of Earth and Space Exploration, is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in astrobiology and biogeosciences. Her involvement in two NASA missions, Psyche and Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera, has allowed her to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge technology and collaborate with experts in the field, making notable contributions to the Psyche mission's communication and outreach team. As she graduates, Simon looks forward to pursuing a career in planetary science and continuing to contribute to our understanding of the universe. Read more
Alex Blanche
Alex Blanche is graduating this spring with a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics from Arizona State University. He has done innovative research on Hubble Space Telescope UV images of galaxies, worked as a TA for a Cosmology course, and has been extensively involved in SESE outreach activities. Blanche plans to pursue a career in education and community outreach.
Isabela Huckabee
Isabela Huckabee, an undergraduate student at Arizona State University, who is pursuing a degree in astrophysics, has been working on promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in STEM through her initiative, Access Assembly. She has also received several awards and scholarships for her scientific and educational achievements, including the Goldwater Scholarship and the Fulbright Fellowship, and plans to pursue a Ph.D. in studying exoplanets and substellar objects at Cornell University in 2024.
