We are a talented and passionate group of people dedicated to combining the creative strengths of science, engineering and education to set the stage for a new era of exploration.

Faculty

With more than 70 faculty members, our school includes academic leaders in the latest science, research, innovation, and teaching in their fields. Our collaborative and highly interdisciplinary faculty are dedicated to advancing scholarship, discovery, research, and science in Earth and space exploration, encompassing the vast fields of astrobiology, geological sciences, astronomy, planetary science, systems design, biogeochemistry, cosmology, and astrophysics for a new era of exploration.

Emeritus

The School of Earth and Space Exploration is proud to honor our Emeritus faculty for their distinguished service to the School. We’re fortunate for their continued involvement and guidance in our research, programs, events, and student activities.

Research Scientists and Postdocs

The School of Earth and Space Exploration has more than 50 research scientists and post-doctoral scholars dedicated to the fields of astrobiology, geological sciences, astronomy, planetary science, systems design, biogeochemistry, cosmology, and astrophysics.

Graduate Students

We have over 130 graduate students in fields ranging from astrobiology and astrophysics to exploration systems design and geological sciences. Our grad students are helping to answer the largest scientific questions in their areas of study and encourage critical thinking, scientific inquiry and exploration.

Administration/Staff

From project management on NASA missions, to ensuring academic success for undergrads and grads, to introducing thousands of K-12 students to science, the staff at the School of Earth and Space Exploration takes on many roles and responsibilities. Our staff and administrators are dedicated professionals who are passionate about our mission and dedicated to student success.
