Biography

Borthakur is an observational astronomer specializing in extragalactic astronomy. Her research focuses on understanding how galaxies are connected to each other and influence each others evolution despite the large distances that separate galaxies. She uses state-of-the-art telescopes such as the Hubble Space Telescope and the Very Large Array to probe various elements in the outskirts of galaxies and beyond.
