Jonathan Fink

Jonathan Fink currently serves as the vice president for research and strategic partnerships at Portland State University. He was the past Julie Ann Wrigley Director of ASU's Global Institute of Sustainability, and was the University Sustainability Officer in the Office of the President. In these roles he oversaw the development of a comprehensive, university-wide approach to issues of global sustainability, which includes a Global Sustainability Research Federation, the nation's first degree-granting School of Sustainability, and a set of programs designed to help make the university's business practices more environmentally and socially responsible. His geologic expertise centers on the physical and chemical controls on volcanic processes on Earth and other planets. More recently, his research interests include urban systems, solar energy, and transboundary water disputes.
